Frozen Hot Chocolate

Frozen hot chocolate is an icy cold version of hot chocolate. It's perfect for hot summer days when drinking hot chocolate would be, well, insane. This vegan frozen hot chocolate is a copycat version of the fancy Vegan Frrrozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity 3 minus the high price tag.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Blend. Add the coconut milk, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, and coconut sugar to a high-speed blender and blend on high until well combined.
  • Chill. Pour the chocolate mixture into a 2-cup measuring cup and transfer it to the refrigerator to chill, for about 10 minutes.
  • Blend. Once the chocolate mixture is cool to the touch - so the ice doesn't melt quickly - pour it back into the blender. Add the ice and blend until smooth. The frozen hot chocolate should be both creamy and slushy. It should be thick but pourable.
  • Serve. Pour the frozen hot chocolate into glasses and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

*¼ cup/60 ml melted chocolate is ~ 60 g of chocolate.
